GUIDO'S IS GROWING GREEN!

If you’ve been by our Route 7 location near the Lenox/Pittsfield line, you’ve been able to watch our building under construction, stretching out to the north.  This expansion is the external sign of a store-wide renovation that includes, on the inside, a state-of-the-art heating and cooling system, as well as brand new, energy-efficient refrigeration and freezer components.

The  HVAC system we’ve chosen operates as a closed loop, thereby conserving energy.  Heat generated from the refrigeration unit is reclaimed and used to heat the entire building.  When heat is not needed, or excess is reclaimed, it’s expelled to the outdoors via a cooling tower.  No waste, big energy savings!  Our present heating system will be phased out and completely removed as this project progresses.

In addition to being earth-friendly, our building construction is Berkshires-friendly, too!  We’re pleased to call on the expert services of locally owned and operated businesses – Climate Heating and Cooling, Henry’s Electric and Betnr Engineering & Construction Corp.  We’re all for Berkshire Grown, from the inside, out! – for our renovation.

The revamped Guido’s has much in store for you!  We’re adding additional retail space in all areas of the store, including the construction on the north, as well as territory at the front of the store, which will take the place of the existing deck.  There’s more:  expanded bathrooms (three cheers!), a small seating area in front of the store and a new roof. 

We’re very excited about our ongoing remodel of the Pittsfield Guido’s; can you tell?  As we work through the various stages of this significant renovation, there may be some disruptions in your regular Guido’s shopping routine from time to time.  We apologize in advance for any inconveniences and hope for your understanding.  Our friendly staff is ready to answer your questions.
